It’s Throwback Thursday! Today’s TBT song was originally posted as my daughter’s Song of the Day on August 14, 2010!
Okay, here is my ode to the Super Bowl. I thought I should give a shout out to Super Bowl and so I am posting a song today by the upcoming halftime performer, Bruno Mars. He has asked the Red Hot Chili Peppers to team up with him for the performance so that will be a very interesting combo. Can’t wait to see what they do.
I have not listened to this song in a very long time, but it brings back lots of memories and it is really a great song. I am excited to add it to my current playlist. He really is such a cutie … and what a great smile!
This song TOTALLY reminds me of our move to Dallas. We had just arrived in Dallas in the summer of 2010, after a move from London, when this song was released. It became our song of the summer. I remember driving around with the kids in the car and the air conditioning on full blast (we wanted the windows down, but it was Dallas in the summer. Ugh!) belting out the song. We all decided that we wanted someone to sing that song to us (okay, well maybe it was just me and my daughter that said that). 🙂
It was a challenging time (a move from London to Dallas … certainly couldn’t be easy!) and this song brings back those memories, but also lots of good memories of enjoying time together – blasting music in the car and singing along. My kids rock!
