So, I have essentially been off-line for an entire week! I think that is the longest I have ever disappeared. I have to admit that it is a little difficult to get back in the groove of writing this blog and posting after that length of a break, but I think about it all the time and wanted to get a song out there today … so here I am online tonight.
I love this song that I am posting today by singer-songwriter, Steve Moakler. He has a way of catching real emotion in his lyrics and his melodies, and I love the honesty he captures in this song. His music will just stick in your head long after listening to it. Steve Moakler has been writing songs since he was 14 years old. He is originally from Pittsburgh, but relocated to Nashville in 2006 to pursue his music career and hone his songwriting craft in one of the most musically talented cities in the country. His music has a hint of country to it, but is also mixed with an Indie sound. I find it very inviting.
This song is from his new album, Wide Open, which was just released in March of this year. It goes to figure that I would like Steve Moakler as he is friends and past touring companions (Three Amigos Tour) with Ben Rector (and Andrew Ripp), a huge favorite of mine. I hope you enjoy this song. I am posting the lyrics today just because they can get stuck in your head and it is nice to know the exact words. 😉
